Comet C/2011 L4 Pan-STARRS drops into the notch between Mt. Meeker and Long's Peak from a viewpoint in Lyons, Colorado.
A couple of nice sunrises last week:
A cloud bank lies just east of the Continental Divide, with some lenticular shapes protruding.
The morning sun briefly flashes off Mt. Meeker and Long's Peak before rising above the clouds to the east [behind us in this view], smothering everything in shadow.
And a shot of the full moon descending towards the western horizon:
Purple alpenglow suffuses the horizon as the full moon sets just at sunrise.

Looking down Tyndall Gorge from just above Tyndall Glacier at around 12,000 ft. The "glacier" is now reduced to a small dirty patch of snow by rising temperatures. In the distance, Pool of Jade, then Dream Lake, and a glimpse of Bear Lake Road below.
